Earl Mitchell
Houston Texans legend and Community Ambassador
On this episode of Prelude, we visit with Earl Mitchell, a retired National Football League defensive lineman, who returns to his hometown in Houston to join the Houston Texans Legends Ambassadors. Mitchell, whose 10-year career with the NFL started with the Houston Texans, will join other fellow former Texans players as representatives of the team at games and events within the community.
The 34-year-old Mitchell, who retired from the NFL in 2020, embarks on a new career path that perhaps will be his most impactful yet as he builds upon what is already a storied legacy.
“Being a Houston native, it’s more important because I get to give back to, not only a community but MY community!” Mitchell wrote on Instagram in January.
