Davis de Dios Media Signs on to Executive Produce and Distribute Gaël Baup’s Sci-Fi Short Film “The Glass Planet“
Tucson, AZ – Davis de Dios Media is proud to announce its partnership with a student filmmaker at the University of Arizona School of Theater, Film, and Television.
Gaël Baup, a talented international visual effects artist and student filmmaker, will gain invaluable professional mentorship and access to professional-tier gear and facilities through his partnership with Davis de Dios Media. As part of this collaboration, the co-founders of Davis de Dios Media will be credited as the executive producers and distributors of Baup’s latest science fiction/drama short film, The Glass Planet, Goliath Unleased (Baup’s junior short film), and a third unnamed film.
The film, which explores themes of human existence and family ties, marks a significant milestone in both Baup’s career and the creative landscape of Davis de Dios Media. With a unique vision and deep commitment to storytelling, Baup exemplifies the innovative spirit that the company values in its expanding portfolio.
In 2024, Davis de Dios Media signed on to bring The Glass Planet to life, providing the necessary resources and support to amplify this young filmmaker’s burgeoning career. The collaboration allows the company to champion local talent and expand its creative horizons within the dynamic world of science fiction and visual effects, including providing resources for on-location filming in Utah, Northern Arizona, Phoenix, and at ASU’s Sydney Poitier New Film School’s Media and Immersive eXperience Center’s state-of-the-art Volumentric Stage in Mesa, Ariz.

Baup, who has demonstrated exceptional visual effects and storytelling skills, will join the Olesen Davis de Dios Media Group in early 2025 as a content producer, talent, and VFX artist. Baup is poised to contribute significantly to future projects as he develops his craft further within the professional arena.
